CULT: LA: Bloomout

     A few of my Louisiana Irises look like they could meet their demise by 
bloomout.  Is there any way to save these plants?  I have heard that nicking 
the rhizomes of bearded Irises will promote new growth on those about to 
bloomout.  Could the same thing work for Louisianas?
