Re: HYB: pallida X swertii

Walter Moores might be able to guess at this one - I think he may have
made some crosses with Swertii at one time. As Anner sez, I've made a
number of pallida crosses with modern TBs with a high rate of success.
As high as or higher than my modern TBs crossed with each other.
Sometimes I wonder if what we grow in this part of the world in every
abandoned field and farmlot really is pallida - supposed to be a
diploid, but it sure is happy to set seeds with with tetraploid papas
and is extraordinarily more robust than any of the other diploid species
or cultivars I've gotten hold of.

Keep us posted on what comes from your cross. And if you know of a
source for additional pallida cultivars, please let me/us know.
Adamgrove used to have them but seems to have vanished from view.
