The suggestion re Pantone as a colour desciption system got me thinking. The
guides are quite readily available and relatively inexpensive. A set of 3000
colours cost $60.00 (USA $). If this was used then it would make it easy to go
to the printer with a file and expect him to print out the colour accuratly.
The color in catalogues could be checked against the guide to judge the
accuracy. It could also be used to match computer moniters to get more acurate
portrayal of color of posted photos. Certainly worth further thought.
