Re:Using subject tags

Have you ever gone into the Archives and tried to find discussion on a
certain topic, and most of the items you find are not pertaining to the
subject--as listed?
Do you get your messages on 'Digest' and skim the list to see which messages
you want to read--scroll down to the message--and the subject tag is wrong?
Then you miss something really good--because-again--the subject tag is
wrong--
When I first started--I would discuss several items with one generic
subject tag--after a few reminders from John, and his explanation as to the
importance of subject tags--especially for persons who have filters--I now
try to use the appropriate one--
I, for one--do not think that he was being heavy handed with his note about
using subject tags--I can feel his frustration--that some listers do not
follow the rules--we have to live our whole life following rules--so get
over being mad at him for asking that the rules be followed--
In the ling run--correct subject tags is better for all of us!!!
Carryl in western Montana zone 3--if you want to stomp me for what I have
said--count to 10 and then count again--and then pull out your copy of the
subject tags list and please follow it!!!
