Re:OT Blooms in Dallas

Hooker Nichol's 'Vegas Weekend' was planted in the following gardens:
Addison, the Arboretum, Historical (Farmer's Branch site) and the Clark
Garden--where I first saw it--the color is a little different from
others--the main reason I noticed it to begin with--it is a bloom which
says' come look at me'!!! (I have it marked in my book for all locations--so
did see it many times)
When looking at bloom at the national meeting garden -or any other garden
where I am visiting--I use a grading scale--good old 'A 'to 'F'--just like
in school--and also note-either' V' (means vote for it) or
'G' (means get it) then when I have time, I add to my 'wishlist 'or to my
'vote list'--so that when time comes to make out my orders, I know what I
want--and which to vote for on the AIS Ballot--
I know there are several other ways to write about the blooms seen--but
since using this method, going back into garden notes several years old--I
can still understand my note from then--
