I enjoyed seeing the I. cristata photos from Jim Murrain ,Kansas City,
Mo. on irisphotos but was surprised at how different the signal pattern
is compared to the ones here. Maybe it doesn't show the signal well
enough in the photos posted, but the signal seems to be bordered by a
fairly even band of darker blue.
On the cristata in my woods, the darker blue at the end of the signal is
in two very distinct lobes, pinched up almost to nothing in the middle.
The lobes kind of stick out to either side. I need a camera...
Can anybody comment on this? Are the signals that varied in cristata?
