Re: AR: ARIL REVERIE

Hello Dennis,

>Donald, that was my photo taken here in Cincinnati on a cloudy
>(rainy) day.

Not a bad photo at all. My falls are more horizontal than the photo.
Wonder why? Even those in their 2nd day of bloom are holding the falls out
more than the photo indicates. A miracle considering out wind yesterday.
AR was protected by some taller clumps and suffered no damage. Rare for
anything under under windy days, so it probably has a good bit of substance
to withstand wind. A lot of arilbreds do as far as the blooms are
concerned, but the weight can lay the stalks over.

>Do you have any photos yet from the current bloom
>season?

Are you kidding? In the land of O'Toole's dictum? That fancy digital
camera I ordered during bloom season last year and didn't touch until nearly
bloom season this year decided on opening day of arilbred season to choose
that time to let the batteries die. Shouldn't be a problem, right? But out
here in the boonies it turns out no one has that battery. So I tried to
order it. They couldn't get it. So I went to Abilene and searched in a
town of more than 50,000 folks - not available. Finally I called the
manufacturer and they recommend some kind of nickel rechargable bit now for
an additional 80.80 plus shipping and I can have it in ten days. Arilbreds
should be pretty much done by then. So I planned to go to Fort Worth/Dallas
today and revisit the Dallas Arbortem and see if I can find a battery, but
that got interrupted. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe next year. Maybe not.
Argh!!!!

Dennis, when your spring is in full swing, we'll probably be expiring in the
heat.
