Best wishes for a quick recovery from your unfortunate accident! I hope
that the fact you can't remember who sent you seeds last fall doesn't mean
that delirium has set in. I sent you the I. tectorum alba seeds, but not
the others.

I enjoyed the photo you posted of your I. reichenbachii in bloom. Now I
will know what to look for when the rhizomes you sent out here last summer
send up stalks (it will be a while yet - it snowed here again as recently
as Thursday). Both Dykes in "The Genus Iris" and the 1939 AIS Checklist
consider "I. balkana" to be a synonym for a color variant of I.
reichenbachii, and not a valid species. The color of the balkana flowers is
described as brownish purple by Dykes.
