Linda, I would love to share some of both of these iris with you.
Do you know of any books that may contain pictures of reichenbachii
for comparison? This iris came to me without any history except
that is old, prolific, and free. The other reblooms more for this
older lady than it has for me. I do have several iris members to
ask if it reblooms more for them. I also never thought to ask
if anyone had done any research on this.
I've had a lot of strange things happening with my own iris this
year even though bloom is abundant, the quality of stalks of
many is not blue ribbon.
We have a show Sat.,April 21st, and I'm hoping to find names
on a few to take. I label with the plastic knives and they often
get stepped on and broken. I may have to take the plants up
after cutting the specimen to see what it's name is.
You now know you aren't the only one who has crazy problems
and solves them in an unlikely manner!
