CULT -- guess this is! ?

Got a phonecall a little while ago that the Easter Bunny had delivered the
2nd baby greatgranddaughter within a week (not twins - to cousins.) I'm glad
for girls, now we have one over the boys! But while I was awake and up,
thought I'd tell you about how to shade your irises from the sun! (:~
(not sure whether that picture indicates what I mean!)
Anyhow, while trying to make a path thru the chaos in this house, I came
across a polaroid taken - according to what I had written on it - in May "76
- now that is 1976, in spite of what some of you might think - not 1876!)
My garden was coming into bloom too soon and it was too hot and sunny - and
the Regional tour was the next week. After the war (the WW2) there was a
shortage of material/yard goods and the children were small and I made all
their clothes and I used whatever was available. College professors'
salaries had not inflated. I remembered in '76 that I had a parachute (had
used one for blouses, etc . gotten from a war surplus store) So with great
effort, I opened the parachute (which had LOTS of strings on it) and tied it
to fence posts, birdhous posts, etc so it covered most of the yard, high up
so breezes could blow thru yet the garden was shaded! I felt so victorious!
Until the next morning!! Those gentle breezes had turned into stiff winds,
and my garden was going to do a Mary Poppin! I called in all tall friends
and frantically unknotted all those Girl Scout knots before everything went
to heaven!. The lesson emphasized ---- You can't fool Mother Nature!
Back to bed or there is no use going! Rosalie nr Baltimore,USA zone 7

what address to use!)
