My thoughts would be Hermodactylus tuberosus (Not technically an iris,
but many would think it). But it's flowers are black falls with
greeny-brown standards.
I don't know of any other black bulbous iris (although if anyone DOES
then please tell me as they'll be a "must have" <grin>).
