Welcome to you Julie!  Good that you're doing your research ahead of buying
your irises.  Ask lots of questions; there's lots of terrific advice here!
There's also a lot of wonderful pictures on the iris-photo egroup.

Bill Shear of this iris egroup wrote an excellent book for beginners, called
"The Gardener's Iris Book"  c1998
