Thanks for all the suggestions about which irises would do well in Zone
3.

However, now after talking to you I have a question which I hope you can
help with.

I have a number of irises that have consistently come through the winter
in fine condition and grow and increase well but they do not bloom.

Out of the two conditions - extreme summer heat or extreme winter cold
which would be the most likely cause of irises not blooming? And also,
when do irises start
having problems because of the heat ?
