You know what I would really like to see? A list of iris to AVIOD if
you live in a rather cold climate. It's nice to know those that will
live, but its also nice to know what ones to pass on.
I have only grown named iris for a year, so I have little to offer.
But I did notice that of the 40 odd ones I have, the following
observations:
The shrivelled up ones from Walmart, that I only bought because I
felt sorry for them in October...came up like gangbusters.
(alledgedly Dover Beach, Sultan's Palace, Prissy Miss).
All others were OK with the exception of the 2 Lemon Custard; both
had identical mushy dead-looking sprouts (one's toughing it out,
trying to make a comeback; one's giving up the ghost)and something
called Parquet, which sits right now like a comatose lump, neither
dead or alive.
Thanks
Laetitia
