Hi, everyone.
I live just southeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada) in Zone 3. I have
been reading some of the archives and it is nice to see other people
from Zone 3 in this group.
I have been growing irises for just three years now and am still trying
to find out which irises will survive and bloom after our winters. I am
currently growing SDB, BB, IB, MTB, and TB irises, as well as, Siberian
and versicolor irises. I would also like to try Spuria Irises, too.
I would be interested in knowing what irises other people in Zone 3 are
having luck with.
In terms of TB I have had the following irises be reliable bloomers for
me:
Oregon Skies
Jesse's Song
Stepping Out
Merlot (first year), but came through winter looking great
Rhonda Fleming
Black Tie Affair
Swingtown
Thunder Spirit
Tempting Fate
Snowmound
and I even had Pagan Dance rebloom for me last year in September.
