Hello Folks,

PURGATORY did great here this year.  But set no pods for me in either
direction.  May not matter anyway.  At the rate the cutworms are eliminating
the remaining blooms, buds, pods and even cutting off stalks, all my efforts
to obtain pods may be for nothing.  I finally broke down today and bought
Seven dust to sprinkle in and around the clumps.  When I bought it, I was
told there is something of a plague of cutworms affecting all the south and
east parts of the county.  They were down to only a couple of bags of Seven
left and expected to have sold out by closing time.  And it's still a bit
early for the grasshopper plague.
