Huh uh! If all the hybridizers worked out there, nobody around here
would be able to grow any irises other than pallida and germanica!!<g>
You be careful Mike, or we'll come kidnap you and force you to work with
us for a few years.
The results of covering rows for that overnight low of 19oF a few weeks
back are really showing. Snapped a few stalks with the covers, but
definitely saved a lot of bloom. They seem to have weathered the two
nights down to 25 ok. Wish it were easy to cover the whole field -
wrestling in the wind with two 100 ft x 9 ft rolls of Reemay was about
all I could handle.
