CULT:Edith Wolford and errors

<<<<At the Region 7 meeting in Feb., I heard that much of his stuff does not
grow well in our region, with the noted exception of KEVIN'S THEME, which I
bought in 2000 and will see bloom in about 2 weeks. >>>

Dear Listers,

It has been brought to my attention that I was remiss in passing along these
rumors. I apologize. Perhaps, I can make up for my mistake by asking that
people, not on either coast, report on irises hybridized by Frederick Kerr
that do, indeed, fare well in their regions. Add details, please, like
growing conditions, etc. Perhaps, those that have problems just have not
been able to create the perfect conditions for these varieties.

It is not a secret. Those of us in harsher climates often have problems with
west coast irises, as has been mentioned repeatedly. I do hate to see people
pay lots of money for things that don't grow well in our region, just as I
hate to see our people pay lots of money for rebloomers that don't rebloom
when they get away from the coastal areas.

Perhaps, my own impatience with loss of time, my most precious commodity,
clouded my judgement. Again, I was remiss.
