I think our glasses are always half full and half empty at the same time
<g>. And I'm willing to bet someone will come along and volunteer to
take the title, maybe even later this year (tho I don't wish that on
anybody!).

I continue to be grateful for all the suggestions, encouragement, and
ideas that spin off from suggestions for things that do seem to work
here. And I'm very glad that Sharon McAllister and others encouraged me
to go ahead and keep around a few tough as nails early bloomers for the
years the killing freeze hits AFTER they bloom. And to Ellen Gallager
how sent me a huge collection of some of the best IBs and SDBs to
'babysit' for her one year, giving me a chance to see which ones qualify
for some occasional early bloom, with plants that keep on living even if
the bloom gets frozen out. And the same to Mike Sutton, who sent me a
huge box of rhizomes to torment one year And to Jeff Walters with
several swaps of potential tough guys, and to all the rest of you who
see something survive a really bad spring and think of me <g>.

I have so many survivors, so many good, tough plants, that I am running
out of room. Now that's a tale of woe & misery I can live with <g>
