Re: CULT: Tale of woe & misery

Thankyou Donald,
I was just wondering. I lost He-Man this spring. Not last winter, it looked fine earlier, with 3 new fans and healthy leaves. I am certain it did not freeze to death. It just sort of dried up all of a sudden. Usually when they freeze they go to mush in the first warm spell and have completely vanished by the time leaves come up. It is the only one in the garden that has done this. We did have an ususual number of aphids last fall. They are not usually a problem but last fall they hatched out after the ladybugs had gone to hybernate.

  Wendy,

  >I am not aware of what scorch is. Is it something you get in the south or
  is it everywhere?

I'm not sure just how wide the range is. It is a disease and my
understanding is that it is really more prevalent in the mid-west states -
Texas up through Kansas way rather than in the south. I think Arnold
  Koekkoek has had it occasionally
