SJI Live Auction Memphis 2002

Hello Everyone,  
Here is a fabulous event to attend in Memphis! The Society for Japanese Iris 
will hold it's first EVER live auction during it's general membership 
meeting!! We are confidant that the Japanese Iris being auctioned will be 
unique and recent introductions. So please plan on attending adding some 
newer JI's to your collection. If you would like to donate please read on.

As you may or may not be aware, the Society for Japanese Iris has had a 
decrease in membership these past few years. With the unfortunate loss of 
membership and the unforeseen cancellation of this years mini convention in 
San Francisco SJI faces a small financial deficit and lagging interest in 
activities to our section. The current President and officers are looking for 
events to stimulate new interest in Japanese Iris and revitalize SJI. Toward 
this end we are taking an innovative approach to benefit both members and non 
members by offering the first ever LIVE auction at the general SJI membership 
meeting in Memphis! 

This exciting creative opportunity will provide the chance to show off your 
latest and greatest introductions plus help support the SJI and perhaps help 
revive our waning membership. Please help us to make the SJI stronger and 
better than ever.

(PWeixl@aol.com) with your plant donation. We will place all the information 
on a post card that the Winning Bidder will mail to you for shipment of their 
new iris.
