Well, after growing iris for 25 years, I had my first bloom out on a MBD,
IRISH CHANT. I read several letters about this occurrence but didn't have
a clear picture of it in my mind. The other day Luella Danielson came for
a visit and we were looking at my iris bed. I commented that IRISH CHANT
has just "bloomed and bloomed." She looked down at it and exclaimed,
"well sure, and it bloomed out." While I was aware that this clump looked
"different," it was healthy, green, vibrant and blooming like crazy so I
didn't give it another thought.
For those, who like me, didn't know what "bloom out" is, I will
take a picture (as soon as I can see - it's still dark!) and post it to
Iris-Photo.
