What might work even better would be to "pot" the blooming rhizome (plus its
increase) or clump in a discarded nursery container or plastic pot of some
sort.  That way you could be sure the plant would be properly treated
immediately after sale.  Tell customers to let the plant establish in the
pot for a few weeks, then plant the whole thing.  I bet this would lead to
even better success.
