Recently, when squirrels were discussed, I asked what would be a good
bait for them. Using peanut butter resulted in me catching one raccoon and
one skunk in a havahart trap. Both were released.
Recently, I went to using a bait of peanuts [fresh] and sunflower seeds
in a small lid inside the trap. The result is that since April 5, I have
caught 10 squirrels and released them in a forested area a few miles outside
of town.
I am hoping this results in less digging in the Iris pots by those
little vandals.
