Hi Gladys,

It could be any one of several different rust colored iris. Anything 
I come up with would be a very wild guess unless I saw the flower. 
One clue that would eliminate a number of contenders is the fact that 
it is so early. (Anything blooming with Jesse's Song is a very early 
season iris)

Your best chance of identifying it would be to place a blooming stalk 
in a vase with water, secure it well, and visit one of the two below 
gardens and see if you can find a match:

Of course, if the iris in question is an older variety, your chances 
of finding it in commercial gardens that do not specialize in older, 
60s, 70s and 80s varieties and frankly historic varieties is probably 
slim to none.

Search for 'rust' and disregard those entries dealing with the disease.
