Hello. I have just joined the list tonight. I grow Irises... not
that I really know what I am doing but I seem to having a great deal
of luck with them.
I have some questions so please bear with me. I think that I live in
Zone 8, Fayetteville, North Carolina.
First, what is the difference between German Irises and Barbudo
Irises? I am using common sense and labeling them now, but is there
anyway to identity the ones that haven't been labeled and I don't
know what they are?
Second, is there a web site that we can go to that has a search that
will get us information about the irises if we do know the name and
not much else. I have five types growing in one location...I have
photos of them but I don't know which is which...
I need to divid them and I know that some household cleaner power is
suppose to be put on them... can anyone tell me about this? I think
it is to protect the cuts? How much of the greenery should be cut at
this time and why?
