Last year was my first to grow HAPPENSTANCE - it produced no pollen
along with nearly everything else that bloomed.

I've found that pollen production is really hit or miss here & seems
(again!) to be related to weather preceeding as well as during bloom
season. Late freezes before stalks form & drought plus high temps/wind
as stalks are growing. I haven't tried watering.

For whatever reason I am seeing a LOT of what appears to be viable
pollen on a lot of things that don't even usually bloom for me, or only
manage a few straggly stunted & mis-shapen stalks.
