HYB: NO pollen

>>>"Donald Eaves" wrote (in part): Are there genetic causes for plants that produce blooms that
consistently lack pollen?

Donald: Not sure what the exact genetic trait is or the term, but yes... some irises rarely produce pollen, my Misty Lady being one. Others rarely evah pod seeds. My October Splendor rarely pods, although I did get it to take pollen from CHANTED one year in a rather interesting turn of events. Their only introduced child (Mystery Blush) has loads of pollen but is pod stubborn.

SUDDEN IMPACT is another that comes to mind as rarely having pollen, but under the correct circumstances, it has had pollen for me!
