AIS:Cup Winners at Memphis

The President's Cup was won by TENNESSEE BICENTENNIAL by John Pearce. It is a beautiful blue bi-tone and ninety-year-old John was at the banquet to receive his award.

MIAH JANE by Tom Parkhill was the first runner-up. What a delightful ripple-ruffled medium blue iris hybridized by a great southern gentleman!

The Franklin Cook Award for the best iris from a hybridizer outside of the host region was STARRING by Joe Ghio. This blended bicolor/amoena? with a red beard is difficult to capture in words.

Rick Tasco's fabulous GOLDEN PANTER was first runner-up. Such consistent show stalks produced by vigorous plants had all viewers awe-struck in every garden. It is a stellar performer. It defies disease and bad weather.

DEVIL MAY CARE is a striking IB. Red beards on red falls - its forte! You'll want to grow this vigorous plant.

Keith Keppel's STORM TRACK is almost that elusive black on white plic.
