I'm being stalked

  I was down in the iris beds this morning looking for damage from the freezing we' ve had.  Like Linda we had several days of freeze last week followed by a few warmer days.  two nights ago it froze again.
   
  Jesse Song or Rebound are usually my first to bloom.  Pregnant fans on those two cultivars contain buds no taller than one hand width... about four inches.  Most other cultivars in the garden of course are not that tall, and no one is actually peeking out of fans yet.  Or so I thought.
   
  Chalk one up for the theory that the earliest to germinate will be the earliest to bloom.  My seedling 05-150A-03 has a pregnant fan in which the bud tip is two hands from ground level. This is one of my earliest germinants from 05 crosses, Sept 28.  Parentage Tyson 93-25-3 X Scorpio, both EM in my beds. Two nearby siblings with pregnant fans not as far along.
