I  typed in "oak leaves recover from spring freeze." That seemed to cover  it.

Thanks for the site info.  Looks like some plants will still suffer  a lot or 
we may lose them.  If it had not been so warm earlier I would  not be 
concerned.  I guess the commercial that says "It's not nice to  fool Mother Nature"  
is right!
Hoping results are not as bad as they appear.  I pulled the leaves  off some 
iris in one bed & they don't look so bad.  I think my east  bed will be a 
different story. Only time will tell.  I think you are  right though..........pull 
off leaves that are affected not cut them in case  there is still some life 
there.
