CULT:promoting bloom
Chuck Chapman has stressed the need for an iris rhizome to reach a certain size/maturity before it will rebloom.?
Taking this a step further, would it not be wise to fertilize the reblooming irises?immediately after spring bloom, followed with watering through the summer to eliminate dormancy?? (10 days to 2 weeks) ?Being careful NOT to promote rot, would this not be the ideal way to get the most from your reblooming irises??
Does anyone still grow non-rebloomers?? <vbg>?? Would the same cultural practices work for prolific bloom in the non-rebloomers??
