Re: HYB: TB: lateral stalks
Was totally lost to freeze damage again this year.? Most have additional stalks that were not lost.? Not this one.?
In addition, TRUMPET CALL did <not> lose it's terminal stalk, but also produced 1 lateral?

Subject: [iris] HYB: TB: lateral stalks
For those of you who haven't noticed it before, "normal" TB's produce one bloomstalk per mother rhizome. But some also produce more stalks on side shoots that are usually a little later to develop. These often escape late freezes even if the main "terminal" fan is damaged.?
?
These cultivars (new here this year) have lost their terminal stalks (stunted, dead due to our variable winter weather) but have lateral healthy stalks developing on a single rhizome planted last fall:?
?
SUNSET SILHOUTTE - 2 lateral stalks?
PAUL BLACK - 2 lateral?
CONSTANTINE - 2 lateral?
MODERN WOMAN - 1 lateral?
TRILLION - 2 lateral?
AMITY ESTATE - 3 lateral?
SPIRIT IN THE SKY - 3 lateral?
?
In addition, TRUMPET CALL did <not> lose it's terminal stalk, but also produced 1 lateral?
