Hello List,
I'm sure that most of you who hybridize irises have run into the same
frustrations as I have this season. With pollen parents blooming
sometimes weeks before pod parents, it becomes necessary to save
pollen for future use. I've put collected pollen in gel caps then
stored them in the freezer and/or refrigerator. Being the impatient
person that I am, I don't want to go through the whole trial and
error process on my own. So, I'm looking for some of you breeders to
share your success stories and ideas about storing pollen. Any
information will be greatly appreciated.
