OK Bill,
I took the bait - the REAL iris season is June 1 - Aug. 5 as all
Zone 3 people know - that is MDB to JI's inclusive. (give or take a few
days or 'weeks') Our micro-climate (I love that word) has been Zone 4
most of the winter instead of Zone 3 BUT the snow is still here and snow
falls almost every day so the plants are not getting the marvelous sunshine
they need BUT the melting snow (if it ever melts) will give them blessed
water which is great for JI and Siberians. [which is what I grow in iris -
so I'm happy - but others around here are not = the TB fanatics . ("plant
the climate!")]
