Just got back from Florida and am going through my mail. You ask how much
cold TB's need. I know Marilyn Harlow in CA counts on at least 48 hours of
cold (freezing?) temps. I believe, however, that bearded iris don't grow in
FL for more reasons than just the temp. I wonder if the sand and such affect
them?
Although I was in FL for personal reasons... the beautiful weather did not
escape me... and I did make sure I came back to barren Buffalo with freckles
and pink shoulders.
