Tom, God bless you! I have not entered this discussion until now. But I
have to say "Thank you." I have always pronounced pseudacorus as you have
verified is correct...and I have never corrected anyone who pronouced it the
other way because I share your views on doing this also. BUT, I wish I has a
dime for every time other people have "corrected" my pronunciation...I have
just smiled and said: "Maybe so, but I prefer my way." Even though I try my
best at Latin pronuciation, I do make a lot of mistakes I fear. It has only
been in the last year that I realized I have been pronouncing I. chrysograpes
incorrectly. And then, there are the English words I nearly destroy! Warm
