Species Registration

What about those known to woman? < wry G>

Seriously, though, I won't attempt to discuss species in general -- but I HAVE
spent a great deal of time researching just this question as it applies to the
aril species. I've found quite a few that have been accorded species status by
one expert or another over the years, which I could not find in AIS Checklists.
This includes some of the species recognized by Brian Mathew, upon whose system
ASI's current definition of aril iris is based.

In practical terms, of course, the odds of one of these species turning up at a
show are miniscule!
