SLI show

For those interested in the Louisiana Iris show to be held on April 12, 13,
& 14, it will be held at the Hotel Acadiana.  Hotel Acadiana is located at
1801 Pinhook.  In case no one knows where Pinhook is, it is located off of
Evangeline Thruway (Hwy 49), which is the western most exit into Lafayette.
You have to drive a while south on Evangeline Thruway before you get to
Pinhook.  Turn right (east) onto Pinhook and drive for a while more.  If you
reach Kaliste Saloom, you have gone too far.  All of these roads are large
streets that are extremely hard to miss.
Friday there will be bus tours to two local gardens beginning at 8am.  A
dinner and slide show will begin at 7pm.  On Saturday, there will be a
symposium from 9am-11am.  The actual iris show does not begin until 3pm and
only last until 5pm on Saturday.  But, on Sunday, the iris show goes from
10am-4pm.
I feel obligated to apoligize for the bad Louisiana weather we are epecting
for the show.  It has been wonderfull all week, sunny, upper 70s.  Of course
it was beautiful all week, I was stuck inside at work.  So, just in time for
the weekend we are expecting rain and it sounds like we're going to have
alot of it.  Sorry about that, I hope it doesn't interfer with the bus tours
that are planned.  I'll be there on Sunday, when the rain is weather is
expected to be at it's worst.
