I am watching my Iris bloom as I type. I am growing 50 TB 1995 introductions
for our local club (Monterey Bay Iris Society)in addition to my own 250
varieties. These are from many different hybridizers. I can't tell anyone
how these would do in much colder climates but here the difference in vigor
in amazing. Some are sending up bloom stalks while others look like they are
barely hanging in there. If anyone is interested I will keep a running
dialog about them. The first of the 1995 to bloom is 'P James' Things are
starting to get nuts around here. The National show is close by in
Sacramento and I am the show chairman for the local show which had to be
moved forward one week. I hope we have enough blooms then. If any of you
will be at the National show and are taking the bus to Joe Ghio's garden you
will see me there helping to host. Say Hello.
