Carolyn, you have nothing to apologize for. To error is human! I just found
out that I posted my last 4 messages directly to the server instead of Iris-L.
Your e-mail and enthusiasm has been a breath of fresh air and I've enjoyed
reading them. Such enthusiasm needs to be encouraged - not stiffled! It did
serve one useful purpose! Bob has been one of the early subscribers on the list
and thanks to you he made his first post! Unfortunately I'd much rather know
about his iris interests, etc.

This group is new. Many of us are new to computers. The Iris-L list is not
burdened down with rules like other lists I'm on. Mistakes happen. I realize
that many of us can get easily sidelined on other subjects. This doesn't happen
because we don't want to talk about irises. It happens because we're all
interested gardeners - and gardeners tend to grow things other than irises and
talk about other things beside irises. I've enjoyed and learned much from these
little side roads. As gardeners we've been complemented for having patience and
understanding. Can't we gardeners exercise those virtures as well on the list
server? Have you noticed how these sideline topics always seem to get back on
tract to irises.
