Hi Stephen and welcome, you can count me in to the novice class!
This season will be my first in Iris-growing.

Maybe we should start an sub - novice - Iris group ?!

And dont be embaressed about your question, (you should have seen some
of mine).

Tom, im so embarresed myself when I saw them on the net, cant you take
them away!!

I had the same experience with a amaryllis that started to grow at
cristmas and flower and the leafs was yellow and died, and now it have
started all over with new growth, second time this year.
