Yes. This is a gentle reminder to everyone. The welcome message you
receive when you subscribe lists a few "courtesy policies" that we ask
you to follow. One of them is signing each posting with (at least) your
real name and email address. Your geographic whereabouts is also nice.
Remember that the mailing list is not like personal correspondence with
people who already know you (although it's nice that it often *feels*
that way). Rather it is a public discussion forum; new subscribers
who read it don't have a clue who you are unless you say so!
No, I'm not going to travel around the world with a ruler to rap
knuckles over little things like this. But please read those policies
from time to time. They're there for a reason.
