Ordering iris - ?

	Hello,  

	Since I can't concentrate on my job (due to thinking of flowers - 
	e.g. IRIS) , I have some questions for more seasoned irisarians
	re iris sold in commerce.

	Dave made the comment - he wondered where Ainee Busse `got' CRY OF
	REJOICE, JI. More than half of the Busse Gardens listing of JI's 
	are NOT listed in the 1992 Cumulative Japanese Iris Checklist....
	I ordered some flowers and intend to order at least two JI from them
	 (both registered, BTW).

	The Busse listing had the comment preceeding the JI (loosely para-
	phased), that the cultivars are in general commerce in the USA and
	Europe and may OR may not be formally registered with the AIS (Ja-
	panese Iris Section).

	Should I buy from them - or doesn't it matter if the cultivars are
	registered??  Why wouldn't someone register an iris?  

	The catalogue is very impressive to this gardener and their selection
	of Siberians is very good and I think all of them are registered -
	one may not be because a hybridizer is not listed.....I'm not buying
	any SI from them but has anyone bought from them in the past?
