Bob Fagan: Color can appear to change in intensity and clarity with change
in soil chemistry. Have your soil analyzed and ask about additives to
bring the soil to optimum for iris and the color should be good. You won't
see a RADICAL change in color, from red to pink for example.
Tomato stakes!! bright flourescent pink plastic ties!!
Whatever you have around the tool shed especially if the storm is brewing
in the west!! Or, if you havae the time, fancy loops from mail order or
friendly local garden supply store.
