Chad - I vaguely remember an article about getting the most increase from
rhizomes in the AIS bulletin sometime in the last few years (or maybe it was
in our region 7 bulletin). Some one had experimented with using the old
rhizome after separating off the new growth and found that it would often
produce a whole bunch of little rhizomes. Most folks aren't interested in
those, because they are too small to produce blooms the following year, but
sounds like it might work for your needs.
Anybody else remember anything about that?
