AIS judges: M? RM? AM? A?

This is a question for the judges or AIS knowledgeable among you -- I'm hoping
not everyone who knows the answer is at the national convention.
The January 1996 AIS Bulletin has a list of the judges, arranged by region. To
the left of each name is an abbreviation. I understand G = garden, and E =
exhibition, but what are RM, AM, M, and A? From a reference in a message of
Carolyn's it seems M may be master; RM = revered master? AM = almost a master?
<g> I was a little puzzled to see no one who is both an exhibition and a garden
judge, or is that the meaning of one of the mystery abbreviations?
(Scott A., I'm sure you're at convention but if you see this after, perhaps you
could pass on the suggestion to your father that these be spelled out for the
benefit of new members in the next appearance of the list? A similar mystery is
created by the caption on p. 57 showing BLUE EYED BLOND -- I don't know what
category the Knowlton Medal is for, and can't tell by looking at the picture.

The Bulletin seems excellent (Carolyn, you've really made me look forward to
the spring issue any day now!), and this same January issue contains a great
review of lots of iris terminology, so it's not that beginners are forgotten.
But it might pay to glance over the copy as each issue nears completion,
pretending to be a newcomer to the iris world.
