Boy, it's gonna be a great day I can just tell! Just went to the
mailbox and received both the April AIS Bulletin and the Reblooming Iris
Recorder. Since the Recorder is now three issues a year I still have
not gotten used to when to expect it. Has a new form for the symposium
..I think I like it much better...the only problem I can see is the
return date, it has to filled out and returned no later than April 1,
1996... Went out and checked for pregnant fans this morning...most of
my sdb's have at least one stalk but they are way down in the
fan...nothing on the ib's, bb's, or tb's yet. I'm kind of excited about
our iris show this year...my 10 year old daughter is going to bring
something to the show. She never used to like iris, but she is a great
helper when it comes to sprinkling Comet or planting a new cultivar.
She gives me her critique on how this one is growing or gee mom, I like
that flower. I think the clincher was after entering my first show last
year she saw that all that work did pay off; in ribbons! Hopefully
there will be two other youth exhibitors so she can show in the youth
class. Not too many young people in our group. I am going to sit and
plan my purchases for this fall; so many nice descriptions in the April
AIS Bulletin...trouble is I want them all!!!
