Nell -- if I can jump in here.  You'll know the borer when you feel it, it is
inside the leaf chewing on the next leaf in the fan.  When the newer leaf
emerges from the fan, you'll see the edge all chewed up.  When you feel for
the borer, it is in the side, not the center of the fan, cluster.  Think,
borer, and you'll know.  It will give under pressure where the bloom will not.

Did you manage to get Bishop of Llandoff?????  Where??? You've certainly
gone to the right person to ask about Dahlias, right Kathy?
