Nah - it's only a flower! But Bill's right in one sense - if you want to
join the club, you probably already paid the dues. Was there an election to
make me president or do I win by appointment?
I stopped by Sunnyridge Garden in Knoxville this afternoon and saw iris
flowers! yeeha! The Couturiers are on top of a hill (surprise!) so are
usually a bit ahead of me - their SDBs are just blooming. One very heavy
blooming muted lavender with ?brownish? really caught my eye - and I already
lost the name. rats. Several others blooming, also a very delicate white I.
cristata, and I spotted two TBs with bud stalks - STERLING STITCH and AMAS.
They say they don't have much of a problem with rot usually (but I see all
those 'empties' in the row so I know better). So MAYBE we will have a few
blooms for the show may 11 and 12.
